More Information About
Therapy
I imagine that you might already have an idea of the definition of mental health. However, here is a video that will provide you with an explanation of what mental health is.
What is Mental Health?
Personal therapy is a process that helps a person to look at their personal problems, giving some understanding and allowing some decisions to be made about what to do about them. It is not advice giving. I am trained to listen accurately to your concerns in a supportive and accepting way, helping you to develop insight into your problem areas. My aim is to enable you to develop your own coping skills and strategies using your own resources. Below are the different ways I can help support you through therapy.
Group Counselling
Psychoeducational groups provide you with information about specific issues. They may also teach healthy coping skills. The therapist provides most of the content through instruction.

Process-oriented groups focus on the group experience. While the therapist leads the group discussion, they act as a facilitator rather than an instructor. You will participate by engaging in group discussions and activities.
Premarital & Marriage Counselling
The programme can help you:
-
Explore strength and growth areas
-
Strengthen communication skills
-
Identify and manage major stressors
-
Resolve conflict
-
Develop a more balanced relation
-
Explore family issues
-
Discuss financial planning and budgeting
-
Establish personal, couple and family goals
-
Understand and appreciate personality differences
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
The ABC Model:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can help you explore the tensions in your individual life, and in your marriage relationship. This process involves uncovering expectations, assumption, attitudes, rules and beliefs. During counselling, I can examine these with you, and if necessary, be challenged and change.

Ways To Boost your Mental Wellbeing
Being physically active, eating well, getting sufficient sleep and connecting to others are some of the more important things you can do to care for your body. It is important to care for your soul, manage your emotions the best you can, monitor your thinking patterns and make healthy choices.
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22 (NIV)
This video will show you how you can engage in activities to boost your well-being.

A Look At Christianity: Salvation
Being a Biblical counsellor I believe it’s pivotal that I include a resource about salvation. Do take a look at this video. As a Christian, you might agree with its contents, and find it useful. If you are not a Christian you could gain insight into what some Christians believe.
