Throughout our lives, we often become burdened with difficult issues, whether through our own actions or events which happen to us. If you are there now, counselling provides you with someone outside these situations who is able to listen and help clarify your thoughts feelings and behaviour. I am a Christian counsellor who can work with you biblically to get insight into your emotions, thoughts, and behaviour so that you can function more effectively.

Biblical Counselling

Biblical counselling is practical and effective. It does not view you simply as an individual with spiritual problems. Instead, the biblical counsellor sees you as a physical, emotional, cognitive, and relational being. One focus of biblical counselling is to help you develop a biblical worldview of your life and recognize the core truth that guides right thinking and actions.

Counselling

Being able to talk openly to someone else in a confidential and accepting setting can be helpful to you. It can also help you in gaining understanding and acceptance. Counselling will help you work through difficulties, issues or problems you are facing as well as helping you to make the changes you wish progressively. You have the God-given potential and ability within you for growth and change. Biblical Scriptures can help shine a light on the unreached areas of

your life.

Group Counselling

Group counselling can be defined as “People working together with a therapist to improve their lives.” It is not the same as a self-help or support group. The main difference is that each group therapy session is led by one or more qualified therapist. In a group, you will be reminded that you are not alone in your struggle, as well as having the benefit of learning from other people’s experiences. You can also extend compassion to others and receive compassion from others.

By working together Christians learn from each other and sharpen one another.

Pre-marital and marriage Counselling

Keeping your relationships in sound working order requires a commitment to working issues through. The flexibility to adapt to new situations is paramount to enjoying your marriage. Prepare/Enrich is a customised couple assessment that identifies your strength and growth areas. It is one of the most widely used programmes for pre-marriage education and counselling. It is faith-based and non-faith based. In this regard, its contents enrich Christians and non-Christians.

FEES

Individual Counselling: £45-55 per hour (per session)

Marriage counselling: £60 per hour £75-85, 1.5hrs (Ask about weekend rates)

Group Counselling: £20 per person for a group of 10 (less than 10) £25 per person.

I offer a Complimentary 15-minutes initial telephone consultation call

Availability:

Days and times: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 1 pm – 8 pm. Saturday from 10 am -2 pm

Modality: Zoom call/ Telephone call

Session times: session times are 50/60/90 minutes

Cancellation: I have a 48 hours cancellation policy

Payment: Payment can be via bank transfer

Discounts and reduced fees: I offer reduced sessional rates. If you are a student, unemployed, on a low income, a young person, or other personal circumstances; please contact me for further details. (Proof of income status will be required.)
