James & Sarah, Couple's Counselling - 01.12.22
We started seeing Dawn very near the start of our marriage when we were going through a very difficult period. There were a lot of negative emotions and feelings that were not easy to work through, however, each session we had with Dawn provided a safe and healthy space to explore these feelings/emotions. Dawn always provided us avenues and tools to enable us to communicate openly, honestly and healthily with one another. In the sessions, we were able to not only address the main issue we were facing, but also to explore any underlying root causes and identify ways to have a stronger, healthier marriage going forward. Following 6 months of regular sessions with Dawn, we are now in a really great place in our marriage and have been equipped with the tools needed to continue working on our marriage each day.

I thoroughly enjoyed this session as it took me right back to my childhood, playing in the sandpit at school. It was really fun! It was also really interesting exploring my experiences in a new environment too and Dawn led the session so well that at times I didn’t even realise that therapy was taking place. The object was a great tool to use to explore a sensitive area of my life. I found the session great and would recommend it.

Penny Cross, Loss, Grief & Bereavement Workshop - 26.08.2021
In the beginning, I didn’t know what was happening to me or around me. My sister has died. I felt like a spectator in the world, holding intense feelings of grief. In regards to what's happening in my family, I’ can't believe it, it’s unreal.
Losing a sibling can be a painful experience. I am racked with remorse, self-regret, anguish, because of the way I treated my sister before she died. . I’m a Christian, and therefore, I regret the things I said, and did to her, while she was alive. I never got the chance to say, sorry, and to ask for forgiveness. It’s left a hole in my heart and sometimes a lack of closure. It’s the lack of closure that has kept me feeling guilty, regret, and other emotions which I just can’t shake. … My sister was a Christian, I believe she has forgiven me, however, at times I’m not convinced that she has. There’s no way of me knowing.
I attend a process-oriented group counselling session with Dawn. It was uplifting! Participating in the group discussions helped me to recognise that I need further help to work through my losses.

Archie and Sharon James, 16.05.2021
We very quickly began to benefit from our weekly counselling sessions and the Prepare /Enrich programme. The initial assessment was enlightening - the results were used to direct sessions that focused on what we needed to address in our marriage. Dawn is impartial and only sides with biblical truth! This has not only helped to enrich our marriage but also our walk with The Lord. The creative activity was an amazing tool in which we were able to connect with truth and hear from The Lord regarding our marriage. I would highly recommend Dawn to those who want to enhance their marriage.

Often passed hurts can linger on for years, but as Christians, we need to talk to someone about this. I didn’t want to share my pain with anybody who I knew, I also knew I needed deeper help. The Lord made a way for me to see Dawn. I can look back now and know the Lord used Dawn to dig me out of some of my pain.

I want to thank Dawn for all her help, I came to the sessions dealing with anxiety and just at a really low point in my life and the sessions have helped me improve my thinking habits, introduce new practical skills to help overcome testing situations and most importantly include the word of God into the process of healing. I highly recommend her counselling service!

Nadia, Mental Health In Our Church Workshop - 19.06.2020
Dawn had delivered a mental health presentation online in 2020 during the COVID pandemic for the NTCG Ilford Ladies Ministry. The session was well represented and very informative. The topics were fully explained with ample time for question and answers from the audience. The ladies were very impressed with the information presented as it related to their everyday life experiences. This has made such an impact on the ladies that they have requested a part two.

Maro, Bereavement & Loss Workshop - 18. 05.2018
I have always wanted to understand the difference between Bereavement and Loss. I had the opportunity to attend one of the workshops facilitated by Dawn on these topics. At the end of this workshop, I had a better understanding of what Bereavement and Loss meant. I learnt that the process and the length one grieves varies from individual to individual and there was no one rule fit all. I also learnt the importance of sharing and talking to people you trust about how you are feeling. I really enjoyed the workshop and I really recommend it.
